France Travel News & Views :

The high-speed TGV trains connect over 150 cities and towns in France. Since 1981, TGV has served these cities and neighboring countries. Holding the world speed record at 320 mph, the TGV wastes no time in getting you to your destination, such as Paris to Bordeaux in only 3 hours.

The TGV is the cornerstone of the European high-speed rail network connecting France to London, Brussels, Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Torino, Milan, and more safely, quickly and comfortably.

All TGVs are now entirely NON-smoking.

Accommodations:

Enjoy the convenience of the first and second class accommodations provided by the TGV trains! You can work in peace and quiet because many TGVs have sockets for you to connect your portable computer.

Take the time to read from the France TGV Magazine available free of charge. You can also make yourself thoroughly at home with an enjoyable lunch or dinner, thanks to a great new onboard restaurant.

Your Eurail pass gives you a reduction of 25-35% on a Eurostar ticket... so, although you can't directly use the Eurorail pass for this portion of your trip... it certainly has many advantages.
